There’s a new kicker atop the NCAA’s list for all-time made field goals, and that kicker’s name is Zane Gonzalez.
Hitting from 45 yards out in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game against the UCLA Bruins, Gonzalez’s third field goal of the night - and 89th of his collegiate career - broke the NCAA record for career made field goals.
The kick gave the Arizona State Sun Devils a 23-13 lead with just under 13 minutes remaining in the game.
Dustin Hopkins (Florida State, 2009-2012) previously held the title with 88 makes throughout his four years with the Seminoles.
