If you make it to Arizona State's Mill Madness preseason basketball fan event Friday or to some early home games, you might wonder about a large group of Chinese paying close attention and maybe taking notes.
These are coaches in three sports -- basketball, swimming and track -- who are here for three months as part of a pilot program through the Pac-12 to learn about the U.S. collegiate athlete system. The immersive program at that includes seminars, English classes and practice observation is a joint project between ASU Global Launch and the Federation of University Sports China.
