Charles Lee's tenure with the Boston Celtics will last all of one season.
The Celtics assistant coach will be the new head coach of the Charlotte Hornets, the franchise announced Thursday morning.
Lee, who joined the Celtics last June after five seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, is Boston's lead assistant under head coach Joe Mazzulla. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Lee will remain with the Celtics for the rest of their playoff run before joining the Hornets full-time.
