DURHAM – Sophomore blasted a two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to walk off ninth-seeded Boston College, 2-0, and send Duke into the ACC Semifinals on Thursday afternoon at Duke Softball Stadium.
Vega finished 2-for-5 on the day with a home run and a single to lead the Blue Devil offense. Senior Claire Davidson also registered two hits following a pair of doubles, including one right before Vega's long ball.
Senior Jala Wright dominated inside the circle, surrendering just five hits and three walks in her 10.
