On what was already a busy day for transactions for Milwaukee, the Brewers have claimed right-hander Corbin Martin off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks, assigning him to Triple-A Nashville.
To clear space on the 40-man roster, Milwaukee designated right-hander Kevin Herget for assignment.
Herget was called up for just one day earlier this week, but he didn’t appear in a game for the Brewers after joining the team in late February. In four appearances with Triple-A Nashville, Herget totaled 5 1⁄3 innings, allowing no runs on four hits, one walk, and five strikeouts.
